Cowboy Park at Mattupetty is ready for adventures

Cowboy Park of Mattupetty is all set to receive tourists across the globe. The new park is a joint venture of Kerala Hydel Tourism Centre (KHTC), a subsidiary of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) and Fun Factory group.

Kerala is witnessing yet another Hydel Tourism Project after the Kakkayam Dam Project, Calicut.
The Cowboy Park is situated near to the boating center of Sun Moon Valley Park of Mattupetty which sprawls across 15 acres.

Mattupetty is a hill station in Munnar at an altitude of 1700 meters. Mattupetty is also known as ‘cattle village’, the name which came from the famous Indo Swiss farm project or Livestock project.

In Mattupetty you can enjoy the greenish valleys and feel the fabulous climate around. The main attraction of Mattupetty is the dam and the lake here.

The Cowboy Park is offering very good entertainment & adventure programs for youngsters & Kids
12D theater with 13 special effects, Adventure zone with 100 meter zip lining, Multi-play area for kids, Cricket simulators, Pedal Cars, Pony ride, climbing wall, Archery, Spanish bull, Shooting range, Flower Garden and carnival games are the main attractions in Cowboy Park.

As a promotional offer, the ticket rates are maintained as 200 INR per head up to the first 2 months. Later these rates can vary accordingly.

How to reach Cowboy Park?

The cowboy park is just 10 kms from the Munnar town. There are plenty of State buses and private buses are available in this route. Kerala Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is having services from almost all major cities to Munnar.

For people coming by air, Cochin International Airport is the nearest one with 110 kms away by road. The Madurai International Airport is 140 kilometers away from Munnar which can also be considered.

The nearest railway station from Cowboy Park is at Aluva, which is at a distance of 110 kilometers from Munnar. The Ernakulam Railway Station is 130 kilometers away while the Madurai Railway Station is at a distance of 135 kilometers.
