Mattanchery, popular for its Jew street and Paradesi synagogue is going to witness another change preserving its legacy. The old palace in the Jew Street is getting a face lift and will be known as a Spice Heritage from December 18 onwards. Sealine Hotels Ltd, famous for its resort in the Cherai Beach, has taken over the ownership of this 150 year old splendid structure built by a Gujarath family. This new move will definitely boost up the tourism industry around the Fort Kochi and Mattanchery area which has its unique history.
