Kerala, popularly known as the God’s Own Country is one of the Europe’s favorite travel and tourism destinations, As per the records of the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC), around 420247 foreign visitors has come to Kerala till October 15. The numbers which usually goes up during the Christmas and new year season, has considerably increased by the end of the year. This is a very good growth in the tourists number which was 401063  last year. Even after the woes of the Financial crisis in Greece which caused a widespread tension in the whole Europe, the increase in the number of tourists shows the positive side of Kerala tourism. Kerala which is famous for its  pleasant and equable climate throughout the year is one of the best places to escape from the bitter Winter season in Europe. The survey taken by the KTDC shows that, Europe tourist’s are more interested towards Ayurveda, the rivers and backwaters of Kerala and its villages.
