Monsoon ride at Athirappilly for 1000 RS

Kerala Tourism Department has introduced a new monsoon package for the travelers. A jungle safari of 12 hours through Athirappilly – Sholayar forest route. The Jungle will safari will start by 8 AM and end will come to an end by around 7 PM.

Thumboormuzhi, Athirappilly, Charppa Waterfalls, Vazhachal, Peringalkuthu, Anakkayam and Sholayar dam will be covered during the trip.

Athirappilly Falls is one of the most famous waterfalls of Kerala. Athirappilly and Vazhachal are on the Chalakudy River , which originates from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats. A monsoon ride through the Athirappilly route which is enriched with green lush landscapes will be a true feast for the eyes.

Breakfast and lunch & other snacks are already included in the monsoon package.Each traveler will get Bag and an umbrella as freebies for joining the trip. There will be a Bharat Benz bus will be arranged for the travel arrangements which won’t disappoint you in terms of comfort.

Thumboormuzhi

Thumboormuzhi is a well known tourist spot located near Chalakkudy, Thrissur. The Thumboormuzhi butterfly park has been identified as a home for about 140 species of butterflies. Variety of flowering plants are going to surprise you at Thumboormuzhi. A must visit place for the nature lovers.

Vazhachal & Charppa

Both Vazhachal and Charppa Waterfalls are located near Athirappilly waterfalls. One can enjoy the beauty of these waterfalls only at the time of monsoon season. So this is the right time for the visit.

Peringalkuthu

Peringalkuthu Dam is a concrete dam built across the Chalakkudi River in Thrissur. It also contains Peringalkuthu Hydro Electric Power Project of Kerala State Electricity Board who owns the dam. The dam is situated in deep forest and special permission is needed to visit the dam. This is the right opportunity make use of that.

Anakkayam

At Anakkayam, you will see a calm lake and dense mysterious forests. There are plenty of rocks with distinct outlines precisely cut along the edges. The view of the vast lucid stretch is sure to have a very soothing effect on your minds. Anakkayam is an ideal instance of nature at its pristine best.
