Jatayupara to Jatayu Nature Park

The famous Jatayupara at Chadayamangalam has been converted to the nature park preserving its mytholigical importance and natural beauty. The park will have the largest bird sculpture of the world on top of the hill(200 feet long, 150 feet broad, 70 feet in height and having 15,000 square foot of floor area). The sculpture is that of the mythical bird Jatayu, who is said to have fallen after the fight with the Asura King Ravana who Kidnapped Sita, the wife of Lord Rama. The Jatayupara is believed to be the place where Jatayu fell. The statue will house a digital museum and a 6D theatre as well. Indian visitors travelling to Australia made a record number of 230,000 arrivals till September 2015.This record shows a notable change of 20% increase with respect to the last year reports. Indians are very much attracted towards the amazingly beautiful beaches, unique wildlife and iconic landmarks in Australia. The food and wine that serving in Australia along with the economic holiday packages are another attracting factor for the Australian visitors. The widely accepted and one of the top rated channel show, ‘Master Chef’ have a significant role in bringing the highest-ever number of Indian visitors to Australia. Undoubtedly, the ‘Master Chef’ could showcase Australia’s incredible, diverse cuisine in front of the world. The Australian High Commissioner to India, Patrick Suckling, said the strong people-to-people links between Australia and India had boosted the numbers of Indians holidaying in Australia.India is the eighth-largest market for visitors to Australia. Mattanchery, popular for its Jew street and Paradesi synagogue is going to witness another change preserving its legacy. The old palace in the Jew Street is getting a face lift and will be known as a Spice Heritage from December 18 onwards. Sealine Hotels Ltd, famous for its resort in the Cherai Beach, has taken over the ownership of this 150 year old splendid structure built by a Gujarath family. This new move will definitely boost up the tourism industry around the Fort Kochi and Mattanchery area which has its unique history.

Sikkim, an Indian state is the planning to develop a new tourist attractions including a Reptile park in Sikkim and a new golf course. The Reptile Park will be showcasing some of the verity reptiles that are native to Himalayan State. This will be a new place of interest for the travelers and backpackers heading to Sikkim. In addition to the Reptile Park, Sikkim’s minister also proposed a new golf course to be developed near the Nathula Pass. The name to the golf course in under discussion but likely to go ahead with the name “Yak Golf Course” and which will be the highest in the world. This place is about 4,300 meters above the sea-level. To make this new projects more accessible for the travelers, the government showing good interest in completing the Sikkim’s first airport in another one year. Doubled the cancellation fee for reserved train tickets

Indian Railways, has doubled the cancellation fee for reserved ticket cancellation. This has been done with the aim to helping genuine passengers to get confirmed tickets. There is a general opinion that, bus operators book tickets during the early stages of booking which reduces the number of available seats and thus makes the passengers opt for buses. The new move will certainly reduce this practice done by the bus operators as the cancellation charges are too high. The Sleeper ticket cancellation fee before 48 hours of departure of train has been hiked from Rs 60 to Rs 120, the Third AC fee has been hiked from Rs 90 to Rs 180. Also, there will be no refund after the departure of a train and one has to get the refund four hours before the scheduled departure as per the revised refund rules. This mainly applies physical tickets as e-tickets are automatically cancelled if not confirmed. Earlier from 48 hours to 6 hours, the cancellation fee was 25% of the ticket and from 6 hours to …
